Allergy Free Holiday Recipes

100+ Allergy Free Holiday Recipes

Alrighty, here is probably the BEST allergy-free holiday roundup out there! It’s filled with over 100 recipes from all my favorite bloggers. I asked several of my blogger friends what their favorite holiday recipes are and I was blown away at the creativity and yummy creations they shared with me. I decided to put together a “round up” to make it easier on you when you are looking for inspirations during the holidays. It’s quite fun searching through all these categories and I promise you will not be disappointed!

Defining “allergy free”

When I say “allergy-free” I am including a wide range of ingredients. All of these recipes are gluten-free. Most are paleo/grain-free but there is the occasional use of tapioca, arrowroot, or rice. I can’t please everyone, but I sure hope you can find at least one you like. Several of these recipes can be converted into GAPS (if they are not already) by using honey instead of maple syrup or the various “safe ingredients” for you. I have experience converting coconut oil for butter in many recipes and I think it turns out quite nice.

Inspiration

Hopefully this list of fabulous recipes is not too overwhelming for you. Several of the “pumpkin desserts” or “apple desserts” would make a lovely holiday breakfast treat as well. You may notice several variations of a certain recipe and that is because each blogger/cook has their own secret and I did not want to limit you to just one kind. Personally my favorite section to look through was the “savory cooked veggies”. It could be because I’m a veggie-lover, but they are so inspirational and colorful. Enjoy!

I hope your holidays will be filled with joy and peace. Enjoy all the holiday recipe contributions from my creative friends. 🙂

Snowflake Peppermint Fudge (GAPS)

Hey Gutsy Readers!

Peppermint + Chocolate + Coconut = Snowflake Peppermint Fudge!

NAET updates

I will keep popping in and out until my health is a little more under control. Many of you know that I started NAET about a month ago. It has been quite a journey so far! You can follow my updates on Facebook for now. I’m detoxing a lot and my body is going though major changes so be patient with me 🙂

Way back when..

In the meantime, I remembered a year ago before I had my blog that I entered a contest on the WellFedHomestead blog (one of my favorites, especially because I was just starting GAPS). I was so excited when I won! I forgot about the recipe until now. I love thinking back that this is how I got started. I was so excited to have one of “my” recipes posted on a blog!!! That experience was so inspiring that how could I resist creating my own blog..

Tasty

Minty and festive, this fudge is almost like peppermint chocolate patties, but all combined into one. The extra coconut on top gives it a fun “snowflake” theme. These are fun to make together with siblings or as a family. The hardest part is waiting for them to become solid, but its worth it! Enjoy!

* the “creamed coconut” is actually Coconut butter. I just was not familiar with the term “coconut butter” and the package I used was called “creamed coconut”. Don’t get confused with the cream on top of the coconut milk can-do not use this! . So use this recipe for the creamed coconut (aka. coconut butter).

GAPS Fudge Brownies

Have you noticed I have been gone lately?

Why is that you ask..well I have been on and off sick for 3 weeks!!

Your probably wondering how a person can be sick for 3 weeks if they eat healthy and take care of themselves. I was wondering the same thing too. I was reminded that sometimes our bodies just need to get sick and there is no rhyme or reason for it. I also think that the body naturally detoxes in the fall so I think I was battling die-off as well.

Time to get moving

I’m crossing my fingers I am better for good (well at least for some time more then 2 days). I woke up this morning motivated and hungry! I have not been hungry in the past 2 weeks, so this is a good sign. I woke up refreshed and actually looking forward to starting a new day that doesn’t include detox baths, naps, reading (that is all I feel like doing when I’m sick-blogging just hurts my head!), spoonfuls of FCLO, and 4 cups of bone broth 🙂 Im also looking forward to taking a run again (I love running!).

Catch up time

Now I only have like 50 + comments to check on my blog..so if you left a comment, please be patient! Oh and like 50 e-mails to reply to..hmm can you guess what I am doing today? 🙂 Im just so grateful that you all love to ask questions!

So now that you now what is going on in my life, there is a little something special for you. I did this guest post about a weeks ago, but incase you didn’t see it..
